The Problem

In the absence of a website, the company experienced several significant challenges. Firstly, they lacked a prominent online presence, making it difficult for potential customers to discover and learn about their products and services. This resulted in missed business opportunities and reduced visibility in the competitive market. Additionally, the company struggled to effectively showcase their portfolio, highlight their expertise, and convey their unique value proposition to potential clients. The absence of an online platform hindered their ability to provide convenient access to essential information, such as contact details, product specifications, and customer testimonials, causing potential customers to seek alternative solutions. Ultimately, the lack of a website limited the company's ability to establish credibility, expand their customer base, and compete effectively in the digital landscape.

Project Goal / Solution

The primary objective of this project is to develop a comprehensive and visually stunning website for the company that aligns with their brand identity and effectively showcases their products and services. The website will aim to establish a strong online presence, enhance customer engagement, and drive business growth. The project goal includes designing a responsive and user-friendly website that is compatible with multiple devices, ensuring a seamless browsing experience for visitors across desktop computers, laptops, tablets, and mobile devices. The website will incorporate a user-friendly content management system (CMS) to enable easy management and update of content. By achieving this goal, the company will significantly improve its online visibility, attract new customers, and effectively communicate its expertise and value proposition to a broader audience.

Roles & Responsibilities

Requirement Gathering / Empathize

Methods

Stakeholder Interviews: Interviews were conducted with key stakeholders from the company, including management, marketing, and sales teams. These interviews helped identify their goals, expectations, target audience, desired features, and any specific design elements they had in mind.

User Surveys and Feedback: User surveys were developed to collect insights from the company’s existing customers and potential target audience. The surveys focused on understanding their preferences, expectations, and pain points when interacting with similar websites. Additionally, feedback was gathered from the company’s customer support or sales teams regarding common inquiries or issues raised by customers.

Competitor Analysis: The websites of direct competitors and industry leaders were analyzed to identify best practices, innovative features, and areas for differentiation.

Content Audit: An evaluation was conducted on the existing content and materials available within the company, such as product catalogs, brochures, case studies, and testimonials. This audit helped determine what content needed to be included on the website and identified any gaps or areas that required additional information.

Technical Assessment: Collaboration took place with the company’s IT team or technical experts to assess the infrastructure and technical requirements for hosting and maintaining the website. Factors such as scalability, security, and integration with existing systems were considered.

Collaboration and Iteration: Throughout the process, open communication channels were maintained with stakeholders, allowing for regular feedback and iterations. This collaborative approach ensured that the gathered requirements were accurately translated into the final website design.

UX Design / Web Design

The website mockups were meticulously crafted using Adobe XD, ensuring a detailed representation of each page’s design. These mockups were then presented to the company’s management for a comprehensive review, allowing them to provide valuable feedback and input.

To uphold brand consistency, the design system employed was Bootstrap, a renowned framework known for its robustness and ability to maintain a cohesive brand identity throughout the website.

Following the approval of the mockups, a CMS system was seamlessly installed on the development server. This content management system facilitated efficient content organization and seamless updates to the website’s pages. The web pages were meticulously converted into responsive web pages, ensuring optimal user experience across various devices and screen sizes, thanks to the capabilities of the CMS system.

This systematic approach allowed for an effective design process, ensuring that the website’s visual representation, brand identity, and responsive design were seamlessly integrated into the final product.

System testing

The web page content underwent thorough examination and verification to ensure strict adherence to the specified requirements. In parallel, a comprehensive review of the designs was conducted to ascertain their alignment with the established brand identity.

Of paramount importance, rigorous testing procedures were implemented to assess the website’s responsiveness across multiple devices. This meticulous evaluation guarantees that the website functions seamlessly and offers an optimal user experience, irrespective of the device being used.

The page load speed was tested under various connection speeds using the Google Page Speed Insights tool.
